Griffen Mill has been making handmade wall paper & lining papers in plain single sheet form for historic wallpaper projects for the last 15 years. As there are variations in the size, character & substance of papers used in historic wallpapers all papers made at the Mill are tailored to meet the challenges of a particular project. The papers are suitable for painting & patterning.

Archival Papier -Mache Pulp.
Archival, absorbent sheets, made from cotton, capable of reproducing fine detail. Please contact the Mill with your requirements as historical techniques can vary & this affects the sheet thickness needed.
Special Makings In any one year up to 50% of all the papers made at the Mill are for special projects.
Examples include matching end papers,the recreation of 18thC handmade wallpaper,
bespoke tissue for spine repairs and sympathetically tinted leaf casting pulp.
